How do I make payments to Ukraine?

The purpose of the payment must be indicated on the transfer request. Indicating the purpose of the payment is compulsory for all outward foreign payments sent to a personal (non-corporate) account in Ukraine. The purpose of the payment must always be completed regardless of how you submit the payment - be it via internet, phone banking, in person at a branch etc.

The following English phrases are permitted:

• SALARY
• WAGES
• PRIZE/PRICE
• BONUS or HONORARIUM
• ALIMONY
• INSURANCE COMPENSATION
• INSURANCE PAYMENT
• COMPENSATION OF DAMAGE

If none of the above is applicable, you must state that the payment is not connected to any business or investment activity and enter the following into the field: ""I CONFIRM THAT THIS TRANSFER IS NOT RELATED TO ANY BUSINESS OR INVESTMENT ACTIVITY.""

Please note that if you do not indicate the purpose of the payment, the bank may either ask for a clarification of the purpose or refuse to process the payment, or the recipient’s bank may return the payment. A fee may be charged according to Česká spořitelna’s fee schedule if payment clarification is requested or the payment is returned.
